Workout Roundup: March 16th

Wow! What an interesting week it has been! I started off with gym workouts early on, but then the gym closed due to COVID-19 and I had to get creative with in-home workouts using dumbbells (I only have a pair of 10s right now) and resistance bands. And lots of walking. I’m trying to get in 10,000 steps each day, being outside as much as possible. A good exercise regime, getting Vitamin D and drinking lots of water will help keep those immune systems going strong!

Monday

Tuesday

Along with a walk around Hidden Pond. I got a little lost. LOL!

Wednesday

Got this email Tuesday night:

BOO. 🙁 So, in-home workouts it is! My workouts are inspired by Diana Mirgon at dmirgonfit21 on Instagram. Check her out!

Along with a 4 mile walk around Lake Mercer.

Thursday

Today I started getting into video making. Just a wee bit. And I discovered a love for burpee variations. I know. I’m a weirdo. Or just a Spartan. LOL.

Burpee/Row

Friday

Today I did a workout with dumbbells and really got into the video-making aspect (I’m using the Apple app Clips). I also followed this up with a 1 mile run to a playground, worked on upper body and grip strength on the monkey bars, and then the 1 mile run back home.

Lower body with bands

Saturday

Today I did a lower body workout using bands. And then a walk around Burke Lake. Never again on a Saturday. I practiced “spatial distancing” but it was tough!

Full body with dumbbells

Sunday

More of a rest day with a leisurely golf course walk. And yardio (mowing the lawn!) later in the day.

Remember to get outside and keep exercising during this time of spatial distancing. There is plenty you can do in your home. I will do my best to continue to give you ideas and ways to get creative. 🙂 And remember…

Do what makes you happy.
