Man, it’s been a week! That Solar Eclipse was something else, wasn’t it? It felt like everything was just a bit out of whack all week. Kids were being crazy, people were being crazy — emotions were running high. It was as if the sun and moon got together and decided to keep us on our toes!
Sometimes, life feels like a series of unexpected events stacked one on top of another. When things start to get a little wonky, it can feel like we’re just trying to stay above water. But just because everything feels off doesn’t mean we need to lose our cool.
Instead of fighting against the chaos, why not embrace it? When things start to feel a little too crazy, take a deep breath and remember that sometimes the best way to handle the unexpected is to simply go with the flow. Letting go of the need to control everything can free us from the stress of the situation and open us up to new possibilities.
Letting go of control. That’s a biggie. And it’s a constant theme that comes up. Writing this blog post is a reminder to myself of all these things, and I hope it helps others along the way. I know I always need the reminder to let go of control.
But here’s a little golden nugget: when we’re not fixated on controlling every detail, we allow ourselves to be present in the moment. And open to surprises. Who knows? Maybe the chaos will lead to something wonderful! Wishful thinking, maybe, but it’s always worth a shot.
“Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”
~John Lennon
So, as we navigate the weeks ahead, let’s try to ride the waves of the unexpected, even if the waters get choppy. Life isn’t about having everything perfectly in order — it’s about adapting to the currents. And maybe finding a little joy in the ride.
Thanks for the reminder, Larissa! I needed this message in a time of uncertainty.
